If you have a hectic schedule, then you know the drill. You start your week with a pristine house and by mid-week you see your house starting to get messed up. And, by the end of the week, you have papers hogging half of your desk space, clothes piled up sky high on the chair – in short, your entire house is falling apart! Come weekend, you do all the cleaning up. And then, the cycle starts again! So, do yourself a favor, and take a look at these 5 steps to keep your house neat and tidy and totally Pinterest worthy, any time of the week!
1. Make Your Bed
Nothing makes your bedroom look worse than an unmade bed! So, make it a habit to make your bed, first thing in the morning!
2. Do Your Laundry, Daily
Take a moment to toss a heap of clothing in the washing machine, every morning. The key to saving time is to keep the clothing in the laundry basket. This way, all you have to do is to empty the laundry basket into the washing machine and add soap. It should just take you a moment. Try not to wait till you hit a point where a mountain of clothes lies waiting for you. This way, your home will stay cleaner, and laundry basket won’t get flooded.
3. If You Take it Out, Put it Back!
It hardly takes a minute to hang a shirt back, that you took out and then decided not to wear. The same applies with toiletries in the washroom, food in the kitchen, and toys around the house.
4. Clean Your Car
Make it a point to take out everything from your car when you return home each day. Discard all trash and throw any things (parking tickets) that you don’t need. Keep little junk bags and wipes in the car for trash and any sort of spills. Make this a habit and you will never have a cluttered car again!
5. Clean As You Go!
Though this seems like the most obvious thing to do, yet, most of us don’t do it. Take a basket and start walking through every room of the house, picking up things that don’t belong in that place. Once done, put things in their designated places.
