Can you believe it’s already June? The sky is blue and the sun is shining – in short, it is the perfect time to prep up your indoors and outdoors to enjoy some fun time with your family and friends. This also means you can take advantage of the long days to get your household tasks done.
So, to keep your home happy and healthy, we have come up with our June Checklist that will help you stay on top of the household game! Add a few or these chores onto your to-do list, for a balanced, low-stress way to keep your life running smoothly and your space working at its best!
1. Tackle Your Junk Drawer
Drawers are the messiest areas of the house. One of the main reason for their messiness is probably because of the fact that the clutter is always hidden! So, this month it is time you purge out the drawers of the house. Take a good look at the contents inside the drawers and decide what stays in and what goes out.
2. Spruce Up Your Garden Area
Whether you are staying in an apartment with a tiny balcony or a villa with a splendid lawn, the month of June calls for maintaining the garden area. Since the cold days are gone, and we have already started to experience the warm climate, it may be a good idea to bring home some plants. Apart from making your house look charming, plants will help keep the temperature down. Don’t forget to put out some pretty fairy lights and outdoor furniture in the garden to enjoy the beautiful summer evenings.
3. Make A List
With all the commitment and responsibilities in hand, chances are you don’t get to take out time for yourself. So, this month give yourself some time to plan out what you want to do (not what you have to do). Make a list of all the fun things you want to do, places you want to explore, and start planning out!
4. Fix One Broken Thing In the House
Every house will have a few things that need to be fixed. This month, keep some time apart to fix one of those broken things in your house. Whether it is the door making a squeaking noise, or the windows in need of some upkeep, take your pick and get it fixed.
5. Deep Clean Your Bathroom
The bathroom is the space responsible for our basic hygiene and health. And, since it is one of the most-used areas of the house, it ought to be clear of any sort of bacteria and dirt. So, get your cleaning gear out and shine up your bathroom.
6. DIY Something Special For Your Father
Father’s day is around the corner. And, what better way to show your dad love than making him something on your own. There are plenty of ideas available online, pick one and get all crafty!
7. Lighten Up Your Decor
Spruce up your indoors with seasonal decor elements. Bring down all the summer linens, make use of pastel shades, and infuse colorful flowers to make your home ready for the season.
