Removing Dust From The Mat
Pick the dirty doormat up and give it a good shake outdoors. You can even beat it against a wall to dislodge any stubborn dirt that’s stuck on it. Next, vacuum the doormat to remove finer dirt that the shaking and beating couldn’t remove. If you aren’t planning on washing your mat, you will need to follow this cleaning process on a weekly basis, to keep your mat clean and stain-free.
Washing The Doormat
Mix a teaspoonful of antibacterial soap into a bucket of water and make suds. Dip the scrubbing brush into the soap solution and start scrubbing the doormat using circular movements before rinsing it with clean water. If the mat is badly stained, you can let the water sit for 10 minutes before rinsing it out. Finally, hang it flat to dry.

Don’t forget to clean the floor where the doormat was resting, to make sure it is clean and doesn’t transfer the dirt and germs back onto your cleaned mat.
