This DIY just needs 3 simple steps. Read on to learn the ropes (pun intended)!

You Will Need:

Things you need

  • Some Yarn (You can use any color you like. We have used 4 shades of violet)
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • A brush

Step 1:

To begin with, remove the label from the bottle. (Tip: Dip the bottle into hot water for some time, to remove the label). Now, start applying glue in small areas while simultaneously wrapping the yarn around the bottle, over the glue, carefully. Make sure you cover the bottle tightly with the yarn and leave no space between strands.

Step 2:

Once you think you are done with one color and want to use another, cut the yarn with the help of scissors, and start wrapping the bottle with a darker shade of the same color. (Unless you want to use a different color) Repeat the same process and keep wrapping the yarn around the bottle until you come to the bottom of the bottle.

Step 3:

Let it dry thoroughly, before you being using it. And voila! Your beautiful glass bottle vase is ready!

You can use a single color throughout the bottle or vary colors as you like. And these vases can be created out of bottles of any shape or size. You can create multiple vases and place them together to create a beautiful vignette on a side table. Be warned! You’ll get tired of explaining to your guests where you bought your yarn vases from!
